Body Massage Practitioner Level
Introduction
The use of body massage to aid toxin release, relaxation, improve
circulation, to name a few benefits can be traced back thousands of years,
though it is thanks to a physiologist called Per Henrik Ling from Sweden
that we have our modern form of massage often referred to as Swedish
massage.
Massage is safely used today in many forms such as remedial & Aromatherapy
Massage with Swedish Massage being the basis of most treatments & with this
practitioner level massage you will be able to go on to more advanced
techniques such as Sports & Aromatherapy Massage if you so wish.
Entry Requirements
Although there are no formal entry requirements for this course students must be aware that to complete the course much home study is required with emphasis on Anatomy & Physiology. There will also be case studies & review tests.
Course outline
The course comprises of both theory & practical components & case studies
are required to build up a portfolio of work as evidence.

- Effects & benefits of Massage
- Consultation techniques / Case Studies
- Health & Safety
- Contraindications, ( when should you not treat)
- Anatomy of the body
- Practical Swedish Massage techniques
- Legislation & business awareness
- Referral

5 days.
Course cost
Practitioner Level body Massage costs £350. Fees include use of all
materials when attending training. Professional uniforms will be needed when
practical work commences. These cost between £20 - £40 please speak to
Catherine if you need to purchase one..
Payment plans are available for those of you wishing to pay in instalments
& a 10% discount will apply if the full fee is paid prior to course
commencement.
