The use of essential oils can be traced back 2ooo years & like many holistic therapies is classed as an holistic treatment taking into accounts the recipients mind, body & spirit to give a therapeutic treatment on levels. Aromatherapy was bought in to the 20th century as a medicinal treatment on the battlefields of the 1st world war when medical supplies weren't readily available, we now know that their results came from the fact that the oils are antiseptic.
